Why the forest covered with snow and ice so beautiful? It’s just like the forest where the white witch in The Chronicles of Narnia lives.
The forest surrounded by edges of mountains, which appear to be silver in color with frost covered trees, looks hazy with white smoke and it’s a fantastic scenery. Huge trees naked of leaves covered with snow are, so to speak, sentries encased in white armor. It looks like that they entangle their thousands of branches each other to protect lives which are hiding themselves in the forest from ruffians who do damage to forests.
I am always thinking that it’s these lives, not other things, to make this white world beautiful.
There is nothing to eat in the forest covered with snow and ice. But they are desperately looking for something to eat, sometimes fighting over food, to survive until spring comes.
They are always next to death. They must use all five senses to keep rooting out something to eat in order to survive. They never give up. Because giving up means death for them.
Yes, the winter forest is the place to engage in the holy war for them. They fight not to kill somebody nor to bereave but to survive. They fight in order to live out their allotted span of lives. I always think that their feelings of nervousness, their breathing and their pulse of lives fill the forest with the holy pulsation and make the forest beautiful.
